A new addition to the hybrid road & trail product line, Connect is for minimal shoe enthusiasts looking for an all-terrain shoe for running, walking and daily wear. Connect is Topo's most minimal shoe, allowing for optimal ground feel. With no midsole and an all-terrain Vibram XS Trek outsole, the total stack height of Connect is 10.5mm, for a flexible and natural ride. For an even more minimal ground feel, Connect offers a removable insole and a finished footbed, reducing the stack height to just 5.5mm – composed solely of rubber and strobel board when the insole is removed.

Topo AthleticRoomy Toe Box
The front is shaped like your foot so your toes can spread naturally for better balance and comfort.
Topo's signature fit: they build shoes "shaped like your feet." The anatomical toe box "allows toes to spread naturally and comfortably," which helps your toes align for better balance and stability over long distances. Trade-off: the forefoot is genuinely wide, so if you're used to a snug race fit, size and lace for it. Topo holds the midfoot and heel snug to compensate.
Topo AthleticLow Heel-to-Toe Drop
A low, near-level heel-to-toe height that encourages a natural midfoot stride.
Topo's geometry runs low (0–5 mm drop across the range), which they say "encourages a midfoot strike when running so you move naturally through the gait cycle." Benefit: a more natural, grounded feel underfoot. Trade-off: lower drops load the calf and Achilles more, so allow a transition period if you're coming from a traditional 8–12 mm shoe.
VibramVibram XS Trek EVO
A durable Vibram rubber tuned for all-round grip across trail and road.
Topo fits the "Vibram® XS Trek EVO outsole [which] offers excellent multi-surface traction" on its door-to-trail and long-haul models. Benefit: dependable, hard-wearing grip across mixed surfaces, a good all-rounder when you're linking trail and road.
Topo AthleticOrthoLite Insole
A cushioned, breathable insole that resists odour and holds its shape over the long haul.
Topo fits an "antimicrobial OrthoLite® performance insole for additional comfort underfoot with odor resistance," with "long-term resilience." Benefit: durable underfoot comfort plus odour control. The cushioning doesn't pack out as fast as a basic foam insole.
