Lens technology
Polarised
Filters reflected glare from roads, water and wet surfaces. The flat, mirror-like light that makes you squint.
UV400 protection
Blocks UVA and UVB up to 400 nm, per goodr's published lens spec.
Finish: Mirrored
A reflective outer coating that bounces more direct light away. The colour you see from outside is the coating, not the tint you look through.
Lens colour (outside)
Violet
Viewed-through tint
goodr doesn't publish the view-through tint for this lens, with mirrored and gradient finishes it differs from the outside colour.
No-slip grip
goodr's grip coating on the frame. Built to stay put when you sweat.
AU/NZ lens category

Cat 3: dark tint, strong sunlight

Typical conditions
Bright, open sunlight and strong glare
Driving
Not suitable for driving (per label)

Category verified against IPP's AS/NZS 1067.1 sunglasses testing register for this exact colourway.

Sunglass lens categories run 0 (fashion tint, very light) to 4 (extreme sun, never for driving). Category 2 = medium tint for moderate sun; Category 3 = dark tint for bright sunlight and strong glare. Tinted lenses of any category aren't for driving at night or in low light. Categories are certified per colourway. Other colourways of this frame can carry a different category or driving marker, so always check the pair you buy.

Details + technologies

Brand technologies, in plain English

goodrPolarized Lenses

Cuts glare off roads, water and shiny surfaces so you see more clearly and squint less in bright sun.

goodr states "all of our glasses offer glare-reducing polarized lenses and UV400 protection." Benefit: sharper vision and less eye strain in bright, reflective conditions, ideal for running, riding and on the water. Trade-off: polarized lenses aren't recommended for night driving, and goodr notes one non-polarized style (Pineapple Painkillers).

goodrNo Slip, No Bounce Grip

A grippy coating keeps them planted on a sweaty face so they don't slide or bounce mid-run.

goodr frames "are made with our special no-slip grip and lightweight materials" for "a no-slip fit that stays put through every mile", which is their core "No Slip. No Bounce." promise. Benefit: they stay level and still when you're moving, sweaty or not.

goodrUV400 Protection

Blocks 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays, protecting your eyes on every run, ride or beach day.

goodr lenses carry "UV400 protection [that] blocks those harmful UVA and UVB rays" ("100% UVA & UVB protection"). Benefit: full-spectrum eye protection as standard, whatever the frame or lens colour.

Every technology explained in plain English. Supplier claims stay clearly labelled as theirs.
