Good to know
How much GPS battery do I actually need?
Add up your longest session or race in GPS mode and leave headroom. A marathon needs ~4–5 hrs; a 100-miler can need 24–30 hrs. The comparison lists GPS-mode hours per watch — every model here clears a marathon comfortably, but ultra distances separate them fast.
AMOLED or MIP display?
AMOLED (265, 570, 970, Epix Pro) is bright and vivid, great for everyday and low light, at some cost to battery. MIP/transflective (Fenix) is easier to read in direct sun and sips power, which is why the ultra-endurance models favour it. The display row names each.
Are these the exact sizes I'll get?
Several models come in multiple case sizes and colours with slightly different battery figures; the tool shows the size in each product's title and collapses pure colourways. Check the size on the product page — a 42 mm and 47 mm of the same model differ in battery and weight.
