Good to know
Liquid, block or powder?
Liquid chalk dries onto the skin and lasts longest between applications, which is why gyms that ban loose chalk usually still allow it. Blocks and powder give instant grip and are easier to top up mid-set, but they shed. Chalk-free grip products work differently again. They add tack rather than dry the hand, so they suit humid conditions where more drying is not the answer.
Will my gym allow it?
Many ban loose chalk and allow liquid or chalk-free. Worth checking before you buy. It is the single most common reason one of these goes unused.
