Good to know

Will my phone fit, with the case on?

This is the question that decides it, and the answer is usually no if you measure the phone alone. The device-fit row here is stated for a phone in a case, because that is how people actually run. If you are between two sizes, size up. A band that is slightly roomy still runs fine, one that is tight will not close.

Armband or belt?

An armband keeps the screen readable mid-run and keeps weight off your waist, which suits shorter road runs and gym work. A belt carries more, bounces less once loaded, and disappears under a race number. If you carry gels and keys as well as a phone, look at the belt comparison instead.

Are these waterproof?

Water-resistant, mostly: they shrug off sweat and rain, and we publish the brand's own wording rather than upgrading it to waterproof. None of these are rated for submersion.

Bring your phone into the Taupō showroom and try it on the arm.
